Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Presented for the 7th day of Trippmas - Scott Tripp's Christmas Mantel. This is a fairly recent Instagram and/or Facebook post, and using the rainbow light to simulate fire is a stroke of genius.
Even though changing lights have been used before, typically it's in a fairly simple fashion. This is the first time I've ever seen a rainbow light used to enhance any sort of drawing, it's a really cool flicker effect.
(.. note how simple the balloon really is, as all focus is on the fire.)
I think one of the things I love about Scott's designs are how well thought out they seem to be, masterfully so. I'm struggling to come up with some other way to enhance this in any sort of meaningful way. Thankfully the Balloonatics of Baton Rouge have come to the rescue.
Stephanie Gintz Morace shared her version of the design as a fancier and festive way to give out her business cards and added the balloon stockings and garland. (Her business card was on top)
