May 10 - Tody

"Each species is a masterpiece, a creation assembled with extreme care and genius."

~ E.O. Wilson

What I've been appreciating about these advanced tutorials is they aren't just "a bird" - they're specific creatures, each with a distinct shape and identity.

This one uses the Kingfisher-style build from Isopresso, but I rounded the body a bit and adjusted the palette to better match the tody.

Todies are tiny, tropical birds found only in the Caribbean, around the size of a hummingbird.  But unlike their nectar slurping cousins, todies are insectivores - hopping through the underbrush and pouncing on bugs like tiny predators or ... hyperactive cats?
