In Māori tradition, the kingfisher is more than just a bird. Known as the kotare, it is seen as a sentinel - perched in perfect stillness, watching with deep, unwavering focus.
Nothing flinches, nothing flutters - until it strikes. Fast, focused and final. As if it knew the outcome before it began.

This kingfisher is an Isopresso design. Little beady black eyes are my favorite as the reflective shine from the photo lights give it a good sparkle and most angles still feel like they are posed for the camera.
