June 30 - Captain America

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move."

This is the second design on the DVD - I like the boots much better on this than on Flash.  This is such an iconic figure, he would be fine as is - but I thought it would look good with a shield.  I resisted the temptation to build another Pocket Chopper for him to ride ...

Captain America is an interesting character.  I watched a brilliant video recently detailing his greatest flaw - a superhero should reluctantly fight because they have to, but Cap is defined by fighting. When Scarlett Witch showed the Avengers each of their greatest fears - Hulk was hulking out on his friends, Thor witnessed the apocalypse, Black Widow freaked out about her terrible past, Iron Man stood broken on a pile of bodies as the aliens descend.  Steve's greatest fear -- the war is over.   Link for full video:  Captain America's Biggest Flaw.
