December 13 - Frosty

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
and two eyes made out of coal
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say
He was made of snow but the children
know how he came to life one day
There must have been some magic in that
old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
he began to dance around

~ Frosty The Snowman

This Frosty the Snowman design is from Ken Stillman's website balloonclick.com.  Ken has a knack for creation, this is one that is not too difficult from his website and it is a nice tabletop size to it.  I actually didn't take any pictures of the one I created back when I was a member of the website, but I had taken careful notes - so the first I made was strictly from those - it's the snowman with the buttons.  I then was able to find a picture of Ken's so I built one a little more to proportion.

The design is fairly straightforward, and patterned after the animated Frosty the Snowman - so it's humanoid rather than a traditional snowman.  As much as I enjoy the yearly cartoon - I have always found it odd if not a bit disturbing that the first words he spoke after coming to life is to wish himself "Happy Birthday".

I sh-sh-sh-should have brought a heavier j-j-j-jacket.
