November 3 - Monsters in Love

Love is the only thing that can save this poor creature, and I am going to convince him that he is loved even at the cost of my own life. No matter what you hear in there, no matter how cruelly I beg you, no matter how terribly I may scream, do not open this door or you will undo everything I have worked for. Do you understand? Do not open this door.

One more Halloween balloon before this holiday is completely shelved.

These Frankenstein's Monster and Bride of Frankenstein masks are from the David Brenion Nifty Masks videos (link). We originally were going to attend a neighborhood celebration prior to handing out candy (our kids are too old to have us follow them around house to house) -- but burying your cat tends to turn everything sideways.  Mostly these just sat inside unused.

Although I already had somewhat of a tribute to Ziggy yesterday, there is a bit of a "Halloween story" associated with it. Late that evening there was an email sent to our local neighborhood group - the folks who live diagonally across the street had lost their orange cat named Jerry. There was a moment when we thought, "Did they think our outdoor cat was theirs?" .. and worse "Did we ... bury the wrong cat?"

When we arrived at the neighbors house, they assured us that they knew Ziggy who used to stand outside their window to taunt their indoor cat who was all-over orange. Phew. Nothing could be more morbid than digging-up your cat on Halloween to prove it was yours while your neighbors stare on with fury and disbelief.

Their cat is back safe and sound.

Frank'n'Beans monster ... *poot*

... the monster got part of your wonderful brain. But what did you ever get from him?
