November 7 - Masayoshi's Bunny

You ain't nothin' but a hound dog
Cryin' all the time
Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit
And you ain't no friend of mine

~ Elvis Presley House Dog

One artist that I truly admire is Masayoshi Matsumoto.  If you've stumbled across any video about phenomenal balloon art, it's typically one of three people - Phileas Flash for his amazing people, Glen LaValley for his outrageous costumes, or Masayoshi Matsumoto for his incredible works of animal art.

Mr. Matsumoto has an amazing gift at capturing the essence of an animal using balloons and truly takes things to the next level.  We have a limited palette of sizes, colors and shapes which he uses to great effect, here's an example where it really all is one color. He doesn't offer any tutorials that I am aware of, but his works of art are such inspiration I think that a tutorial might spoil the magic.  I consider him one of the finest artists out there.

The inspiration for building this comes the North Carolina museum of modern art.  The currently have an art installation going on where there are giant inflatable bunnies that are lit from the inside.

Now I'm just some bunny that you used to know
